About Me
I'm an illustrator (primarily children's books, but also editorial and otherwise) who lives and works in the burbs of Chicago. I dwell in a home with my wife, picture book author and YA novelist, Julie Halpern and our lovely daughter Romy and our trusty steed Tobin. Life is great, man.

Ah, yes. 15 inches here on the first full day of spring. Hmmm...why do I live here again?
Holy crap! Better you than me. You need to buy one of those machines sooner than later.
I want to know what you were saying as that snow plow went by.
I notice the hand is up, need we wonder which finger is dominant or were you just waving hello?
Yikes! Nothing like that in the city. But you are probably way buffer than me.
Thanks all for the sympathies and empathies. I think the hand up was just a clearing of the sweat off my brow so I could see better that power heap the plow was shoving into our drive. That's where the real pain lies. Anyways. All over now. Or is it?...
